The current Coronavirus crisis is exposing that which Just Fair and many others have known for some time, namely that underfunding social rights and undermining workers’ rights makes life incredibly difficult and precarious for many. However, the response is demonstrating that persistent social problems can be fixed and that, ultimately, we are all in this together, whether we wish to believe that or not.

‘I am absolutely delighted to be joining Just Fair as its new Director at this crucial point in its development. Just Fair has spent almost 10 years bringing social justice and human rights together, and at a time when the UK is facing unprecedented challenges on all fronts, its work is needed more than ever’.
The Just Fair Board is pleased to announce that Jess McQuail joined Just Fair as its new Director on 1 April 2020. Having spent her professional life advocating for human rights in the pursuit of social justice, most recently as Head of Policy & Advocacy for Oxfam GB, Jess is an outstanding addition to the Just Fair team. The Board is convinced by her vision for the future of the organisation and that she has the capabilities to achieve it.
The case for better recognition and respect for human rights, in particular economic, social and cultural rights, is as strong as it has ever been and in Jess we believe we have found the ideal person to make that case in the weeks, months and years ahead.
