April 2014: This report, 'Going hungry: The human right to food in the UK', is one of a number of monitoring reports commissioned by Just Fair, assessing the extent to which rights under the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR) are being realised in the UK. This report primarily focuses on the right to food, while exploring the connections between the right to food and the rights to housing, social security, employment, education, the highest attainable standard of health and equality and non-discrimination. In this way, the report addresses a broad spectrum of Covenant rights through the lens of the right to food.
