An introduction to economic and social rights: why ICESCR is a useful tool for challenging poverty and inequality

You are invited to a workshop for organisations and individuals working to challenge poverty and inequality in London. This event is hosted by HEAR Equality and Human Rights Network and Just Fair, as part of London Challenge Poverty Week

When: Thursday 15 October, 12pm-1pm

Where: Online via Zoom

As part of our contribution to London Challenge Poverty Week, this event will cover economic and social rights (ESR) contained in the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and how they could be useful to your work.

The discussion will provide an introductory overview of the international human rights treaty, and the rights and obligations it contains. There will be an opportunity to work through a case study and to participate in a question and answer session.

If you don’t know much about these rights, want to understand more about how a right-based perspective can support your work, please join us.

If you would like to attend, email: ‘[email protected]‘.

Please provide the following in your email:

  • your name
  • your organisation or group (if any)
  • your role
  • what you’d like to get out of the session
  • if you have any access or communication requirements relevant to attending an online event.

You will receive a confirmation of attendance, and a Zoom link to access the session.

We hope you can join us!
