London human rights communities programme

The London Human Rights Communities Programme aims to support London-based civil society organisations to develop and use human rights-based approaches to create social change.

About the London Human Rights Communities Programme

Calling all civil society organisations, not-for-profits, charities, and community groups in London!

Just Fair and the British Institute for Human Rights (BIHR) have teamed up and are offering new funding and training opportunities to encourage learning about how human rights can help make change in your community.

No prior knowledge of human rights is required.

At BIHR and Just Fair our work over many years has shown us that when community groups are supported to use international and domestic human rights law, they can build practical, real-world change. The London Human Rights Communities Programme aims to support London-based civil society organisations to develop and use human rights-based approaches to create social change.

To help you get there, we’ll be providing tiers of support and resources – including funding and training – to build the capacity of your organisation to respond to the needs of your communities. We hope that by the end of the programme, organisations we’ve worked with along the way are empowered to use the law and human rights based approaches as tools for social justice.

This new project is funded by the Baring Foundation and City Bridge Foundation, and led by Just Fair and the British Institute of Human Rights.
