Some personal news… after a wonderful 6+ years as Director of Just Fair, I have decided it’s time to pass the baton of this incredible organisation to a new leader.

My commitment to rights and social justice is undiminished, and I’ll still be in post for the next few months. I’m really looking forward to taking some time to step back, reflect and explore new opportunities.

We’ll be recruiting my replacement shortly, so keep an eye out for the advert for one of the best jobs in the sector.

While I’ll be moving on, I’m hugely confident in Just Fair’s future. The organisation is in a strong position, with an exceptional team, a clear vision, and an unwavering commitment to advancing rights and social justice.

“After over six years of tireless work, our wonderful director Jess McQuail has decided to begin a new chapter of her life and will depart Just Fair later this year. She has been both an incredible director and a brilliant champion of human rights and social justice. Her relentless energy, unfailing optimism and extraordinary capacity-building skills have been vital to Just Fair’s success over recent years. During her time, the organisation has more than tripled in size and continued to punch well above its weight. She leaves it in great health, a testament to her first-rate leadership.

Perhaps Jess’ biggest achievement is the team she has built at Just Fair. They have followed her lead in terms of their commitment to excellence and compassion in the pursuit of social justice and the protection of human rights. We on the Board are incredibly proud of them, and confident that they will continue to propel the organisation towards its objectives under new leadership.

We will be advertising for a new Director very soon and anticipate a seamless transition. Meantime, we thank Jess for all her incredible work with Just Fair and wish her every success with her new adventures.
