Just Fair was one of hundreds of NGOs that submitted evidence to the Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities’ consultation on ‘ethnic disparities and inequality in the UK’ in November 2020. This evidence was completed in partnership with 5 grassroots and specialist Black Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) organisations – the Latin American Women’s Rights Service, Praxis, Safety4Sisters, the International Community Organisation of Sunderland and Connected Voice Haref.
We are incredulous that the report of the Commission published on 31 of March contradicts everything that so many BAME people know and experience; that BAME people experience multiple forms of discrimination and structural inequities every day. We evidenced some of these experiences in our submission.
As an organisation committed to bringing about social justice through the protection, respect, and fulfilment of everyday rights, we continue to stand with our allies to call out and challenge structural discrimination in all its forms.
